We’re excited to invite you to join us in the Orlando area for this year’s Council of Leaders. Taking place at Rollins College, the theme for this year is Build Skills, Build Connections, and Build Community.
Because we are a passionate community who works hard to defend voting rights and empower voters who power our democracy, we are including several worthwhile workshops that will equip attendees with the necessary skills to meet the challenges that await us as we head into the August and November midterm elections.

Bringing Floridians Together, our newest initiative to help bridge the divide between Floridians
In addition to skill-building and collaboration, Council also provides an opportunity to come together as a state League to share updates, align on priorities, and conduct key League business, including approving the budget and slate.
- Open to both voting and non-voting delegates
- Designed to support training and skill-building alongside required League business
- Registration includes lunch and snacks on Saturday, and breakfast and snacks on Sunday
- Program runs from 10:00 AM Saturday through around noon on Sunday, including the business meeting and breakout sessions
- A more detailed schedule will be shared as we get closer
Once you register, Julia will send an invitation to the WhatsApp group and provide access to the shared drive, where additional materials for Council will be available.
LWVFL will not be coordinating a hotel room block this year, but we encourage attendees to book accommodations that best suit their needs.To help attendees book their lodging, we compiled this list of hotels close to Rollins College. While Rollins College is located in Winter Park, please feel free to stay at any Orlando-area hotel. A homestay request form will be included in the welcome email from Julia for those interested in being matched with a local League homestay in the Orlando area.
